Good Points

Powerful, true to size of real rifle, nice stock and straight shooter.

Bad Points

Heavy, extra heavy with scope, my spring broke after 1500 pellets.

General Comments

Ok the Gamo Hunter 1250 is my first air rifle, after reading the reviews here I choose the hunter 1250 as the rifle I wanted.
I paid about $750 Aus for this gun at gun mart and tackle in midland Perth.
I had the gun for about 500 pellets before I got a scope for it. It was some nikko 7X ... scope (can't remember) I returned it so quick.
I am a fit fully grown 23yr male and really to me the gun felt to heavy with a scope fitted. But really do you need a scope to shoot 40 metres?
Not to mention I found it no more accurate without the scope fitted.
Anyway 1000 pellets later, 3 months after buying the gun becomes a rattle when I hold the gun toward the sky. Now I knew that this wasn't happening before. My girlfriend told me it was happening because I was shaking it to hear the rattle, WTF.
So I took it in to the shop I had bought it from, as I think these Gamos have 2 year warranty.
Anyway, after waiting around for a few minutes it was confirmed my main Spring Had Snapped in Half after only 1500 pellets!!

As I say this was my first air rifle but I am sure this isn't meant to happen so soon, if at all.
I enquired with the gentleman at gun mart and tackle store, he told me this had happened a few times before there with other guns but not before to this model.
So it seems I am the unlucky one.
This gun does come with a spare spring, although mine will be covered under warranty.
It seems they (Gamo) expect this to happen, judging by the inclusion of the spare spring.

To cut to the chase I really enjoyed this gun up until the point it broke on me.
