This camera bridges the gap between the good old SLR's and the new technology of digital giving you the best of both worlds, and it is very light for an SLR.
Bad Points
Still trying to find something bad to say about it.
General Comments
I have used SLR's for many years and very much enjoyed using them. The
Canon EOS 300D is an excellent camera for both the novice and hardened user. In fully auto mode, my wife can take good pictures with the ease of a compact camera, but its manual features allow me to experiment to my heart's content.
Picture quality is superb and with the included software and PictBridge capability, it is an extremely versatile camera that gives professioanl results. It is also very fast and stops even the fastest movement in it's tracks.
I have 4 x 512Mb CF cards and get 142 shots at 6.3 Megapixels to each card. Not bad!
When you hit the button it captures the shot instantly, no holding the camera still until it has saved it to the card - it is instant - magic!
I have also purchased a 300mm telephoto lens which brings in a whole new dimension to it's capability's.
It also has a remote control which works up to 5 metres
I feel that I now have a camera that will give me perfect photgraphs under any condition, wherever I take it.
ALL in ALL the best camera I have ever purchased.
