Powerful with the Crosman High Performance tapered bands
The wrist brace allows steady accurate shooting
Grip fits hand well
Very sturdy construction and it folds up
Shot feeder is very convenient
The bands wear out fast
Poor band mounting system
Shot feeder only takes shot smaller than 3/8
The band broke on the Copperhead Power Storm Model PM500 a couple days after I got it with only moderate use. I replaced it and the next one lasted for a few months. After a while the wrist brace (made of rubber) came loose and would fall off often. This was easily fixed with some tape wrapped around the frame of the slingshot that the brace slips onto for a friction fit. The shot feeder rattles with every shot and always slides forward. This can be fixed by sliding two of the three clips holding the feeder on to the front of the frame. After my second band wore out, I replaced it with one of the same kind. This band turned out to be defective- it was cracked around the mount. With a bit of tugging it promptly snapped off. All other bands I put on after this were defective. That made 5 out of 6 bands defective! No, they didn't just wear out fast; they were actually defective to begin with. With a few of them, the plastic mount cracked- one of which snapped back into my face. This is a very poor design. I do not suggest that you buy this slingshot. Even for $20 or less it is still not a great deal. I would have rated this 9 if the bands had any quality whatsoever. The only time you should ever consider buying this slingshot is if you can fit some other brand of band on it.
