Good Points

Rides like a cruiser, handles like a sports bike and gets up to speed faster than you can imagine. Fit and finnish are first class.


Bad Points

Shifter was sticking up when upshifting for the first 200 miles but that went away. May get you a speeding ticket if you are not careful.


General Comments

I was the proud owner of a Honda VTX 1800 and decided I wanted something different and went for the Triumph Rocket 3 Cruiser. Wow, I am really glad I made that decision. The VTX was a good bike but the Rocket 3 is a great bike. The handling of the Rocket makes the VTX seem like a pig and the accelerationl of the Triumph is unbelievable. I had V&H Big Shots on the VTX and the Rocket 3 is quite quiet. That will take some getting used to.
I love this bike and the more I ride it, the better it gets. I am a very satisfied customer so far.

    It seems we are agreed that the Rocket is the mutts nuts. My bike also has a slightly sticky upshift so it was good to know that this clears with mileage - saved me a trip to my dealer!

    I picked my Orange Tribal R3 in May 05...it is awesome. Put new 3-2 D & D exhaust on, removing cat, so now it sounds like a monster as well as looks like one. Ive done 3500 miles and not had any problems at all.Anybody who wants a cruiser that can truly accelerate, and handle well, need look no further. And wots more you keep a british worker in a job, and the keep the best growing brand in the UK moving forward.
