Good Points

welcome reprieve from the machismo

Bad Points

lack robustness

General Comments

Meat flavoured crisps are for not for the timid, and "walkers barbecue
crisps " (WBC's) are fully bodied and hearty, evoking a 1942 feeling,
powdered beef, cramped air raid shelters during the blitz rather than
the more modern and playful implications of "barbecue". They do
unfortunately lack the robustness of McCoy's grilled steak, though technically not a crisp, its physical presence is better suited to it flavour, providing an ideal synergy between form and flavour. That said, WBC's are an welcome reprieve from the machismo that culturally dominates this flavour zone. WBCs with their rich redolence starkly contrasting with its filigree structure is not only an ideal introduction to the field, but will perhaps proselytise a few blinkered purists along root.
