Excellent feel and great looks. Accurate and tremendous power.
Trigger.
I am a Beeman fan. Beeman is known world wide for its world-class air rifles, so I was shocked to see a Beeman product in Walmart. Curiosity set in, and after some thought, half a second worth, I decided to purchase.
The salesman warned me about accuracy problems and said that the barrel wouldn't break in for a couple of hundred rounds. Research on the web confirmed this. BS. To eliminate this issue, clean the dam thing before you use it. Seriously, Beeman uses wax and a lot of oil to seal the gun for transport. I fired one round and noticed the barrel smoking. I cleaned it and after 5 shots had it shooting nickel size holes from over 30 yards. with time I'm sure it will get better.
The power is impressive. All you have to do is shoot a tin can from 25+ yards away, and take a look at what's left. It will go through both sides, except the hole on the back end is huge. When compared to a .177 there's no comparison. With such power you need to expect some things, silence is not one of them. This is a very loud gun. If hunting, you will only get one shot, because every animal in the area will scatter. Recoil is another factor. The 950 does like to kick. Not much, but you will defiantly notice it.
My only complaint about this gun is the trigger. It sucks! Beeman made a great product and put a horrible trigger on it. Even after adjusting it to minimums it's still too hard. That and its just not smooth. It makes you learn a bad habit. Jerking the trigger. I'm used to firing a Feinwerkbau model 150, so this comparison is not completely fair. The 150 has a hair trigger. Smooth and precise. You know when it's going to fire, not so on the 950.
Over all if you can get used to the trigger, this is a great gun for the money. Fit and finish are what I would expect from Beeman. It does weigh a lot but you really need the weight to balance the power. Because of this I wouldn't recommend it for long hunting trips.
