General Comments

Paid £4500 for a four year old Rover 420 2.0 16v sli full spec including pas abs a/c full electric windows f/r alloys front fogs velour cloth trim 6cd changer plastic look wood trim wide wheels mud flaps 2.0 16v quite average fuel consumption on motorway runs but poor in town nice smooth ride punchy engine moderate handling but can give way if pushed hard looks good with spoiler and alloys excellent for going down the m1 or just picking up the shopping passenger comfort reasonable and boot space quite adequate will happily cruise on motorway around 85-90mph but will only do around 125-130 flat out, this car is very underrated it has the power to keep up with most bigger cars and the comfort of a much more expensive car although reliability issues are apparent with the t series engine, prone to oil leaks and head gasket troubles mine had early failure of pas pump(25000 miles) and stearing rack (48000 miles) but apart from that is fine, reasonable service costs, to be fair i would rather spend this amount of money on a car like this than say 10-12000 on a similar bmw i know the build quality etc will be superior but you get a hell of a lot more car for your money.
