Will outdo many other small cars, even newer ones
Hardly any rust in 14 years!
Poor acceleration, especially on hills.
Small boot
Nowhere to fix rear speakers
Very cheap trim
I acquired this Nissan Micra 1.0 LS car in January, and I have to say, I didn't choose it, my parents did, and I was a little put-off when i saw it.
It came with a cassette player and weak speakers, which I replaced with a CD and better speakers. This was tough, as the door trim is very weak, and is like cardboard around the speakers.
I only experience problems with this car when going up hills and fully loaded. It does struggle a bit in terms of acceleration but this can usually be overcome by a quick gear change.
The boot in my model has no base, there is just a plastic trim sheet covering the spare wheel. This makes loading a bit tricky, expecially with fragile items. The parcel shelf strings have snapped, and one of the hinges has broken too.
All in all, this is a nice little car, and it is very reliable, though it does splutter on winter mornings, it always starts.
