Good Points
When people punch you in the kidneys while wearing this, it doesn't hurt as much.

Bad Points
It doesn't stop all the pain.

General Comments
If you wear a Kevlar Carbonfibre Back Protector while riding and you fall off your bike and happen to land on your back on a hard rock, or other raised-type thing, then maybe you won't be hurt as much. If you fall off your bike and land on a spike, you're probably in trouble. But, if you wear this stuff while play-fighting with your older brother, he can kick you in the kidneys repeatedly and won't do that much damage. Brilliant.
