General Comments

Ricky Warwick is the former lead singer / songwriter for the british hard rock band The Almighty. His new solo acoustic effort "Tattoos & Alibis" was released in 2003 following the Almighty release of the album Psycho-Narco back in 2001.

The album, released on Sanctuary Records, was co-produced by Joe Elliott (of Def Leppard fame) and Ronan McHugh. It includes guest appearences from his many talented friends such as Scott Gorham (Thin Lizzy), Dick Decent (Cybernauts) and Dublin singer Seanie Foy.

The album comes across as an emotional and meaningful release, with Warwick's gritty vocals creating an atmosphere of passion for each and every song. Ricky shows his huge talent for songwriting, with fourteen tracks of varying tempo and styles that all hold their own space on the CD. Not one track is a filler, creating an album that will find itself staying in your stereo from start to finish.

All in all, the album is an outstanding release from an immensely talented songwriter. Just hope there will be a follow-up album.
