Product works well.
Bad Points
Nearly 5 times as expensive than PrismEmail.net, who they resell for.
General Comments
Product works extremely well. However, it is nearly 5 times as expensive than PrismEmail.net, who they resell for and more worringly Netbop appear to claim it is their own developed service.

Also since you are a personal friend and your website is designed by Netbop, and you're also in Wales where Mr Bop is, is it any coincidence you are posting to defend them here, and do you really think we should trust your appraisal?
Bottom line is I said their service is good and I haven't heard any complaints either, but there's no point paying £30 for something which can cost you £6 elsewhere.strettonstephens
on 25th Aug 2004Tut, Tut! Let's answer your comments as follows:
1. Your orginal posting stated that they -Netbop-claimed to be the developers, however in your latest post you say that their press interviews lead the reporter into thinking they did. Which is it? You sound confused!
2. I do know Netbop, they are a company and yes I do know the MD as I am a customer of theirs and in a position to comment on their products and service, unlike your dear self.
3. Our web site was not designed by Netbop.
4. We're not based in Wales and never have been. This can be clearly seen on our web site and clearly at companies house.
With so many distorted and untrue facts do you really think we should trust your appraisal in this instance, or any in the future for that matter?
I do slightly agree with you on one point though and that is that is "Bottom line is I said their service is good and I haven't heard any complaints either", only I would say that their service is excellent, after all I'm a customer and as such can do so and I'm guessing here that you are not! I don't know because you hide your identity.

The use of "we" on their website when referring to their developing the product cleary attempts to wrongly lead the user into thinking they developed the service. Added to the fact they like to take all the credit for something they registered using a cheap domains provider.
I never said you were in Wales. I said you were Welsh, and a friend of Bopspam. In fact you are state: "I don't know (if you are a customer) because you hide your identity." If you knew my full name, which incidently is viewable on my public profile, then how would you check unless you were part of Bopspam? I think you just gave the game away.
I have no idea on earth why you say the things you do and defend the service such, everyone can see straight through you. Please don't attempt to smear me, and whilst it's good, it's by no means the best product on the market by a market yard.ezzi

on 27th Aug 2004My intent is not to smear or slight you at all.
My posting regaurding Netbop was a sincere review by a sincere customer. Subsequent postings have clarified the inaccuracies that appear in your postings. I think people who read these should know that and not take things at face value. Everyting I have said can be corroborated very easily.
I am not in a position to clarify whether Netbop have or have not helped develop the product. They may well have done. It doesn't matter to me all I'm interestd in is a good product and service which is what I get.
Quite clearly, (24 August 04) you did state in your posting that I was in Wales, read it for yourself. I haven't bothered looking at your profile why would I?
What is there to give away apart from the fact that I'm not in Wales, but in Cheltenham. The last time I checked that was in England, oh and by the way that's where my web designer is. You really should check your facts. Everyone can see from my web site that the designer has full attribution and can easily be traced to Cheltenham.
I don't defend the service as you put it. I merely saw your posting and thought that people should get some real facts from a customer who is in a position to do so. I think that's fair for everyone reading these reviews.
Its been fun 'tea break sparring' with you Ezzi, what say we call it quits now and let people try Bopspams FREE trial and judge for themselves. I'm sure they will come to their own conclusions.

on 31st Aug 2004Again, I never said you were in Wales. I sent you were Welsh. You seem very eager to get people on a Bopspam free trial - I wonder why! The fact is: you and Bopspam are misleading. Period.
Asides from being Welsh, you are a friend of Bopspam based in Cardiff and have access to their customer database, the proof of the pudding is the quotes on the Bopspam state where they take credit for developing the service, which they clearly did not.
This is undisputable proof and people should take your opinion with a pinch of salt.

Firtsly, I can't see where it is claimed that Netbop have developed the service?
I think that people, especially business owners appreciate the differing costs involved. There are always licensing costs to absorb, UK overheads/operating costs are much higher, and from a business user perspective I'd rather use a UK based firm in case of any difficulties arise in the future. Lastly, what about any loyalty to UK businesses? Let's shop at home first, we all benefit either directly or indirectly.
I think Netbop is set at a reasonable rate for an excellent service. They get my vote!
