Good Points

One of the best on the market, built to last.

Bad Points

Expensive warranty options, almost 1/3 of the price of the gun!? Makes no sense?

General Comments

I now own my second Beeman Tempest and plan to acquire the .22 version as soon as my wallet will allow. I owned my first Tempest for almost 15 years before it was lost during a move. Keep in mind, 15 years ago, you either "pumped" your brains out or bought your guns worth in C02 cylinders $$$. When I stumbled upon an air pistol that could produce 400 - 500 fps with one action and no C02, I was very impressed! I took that Tempest to hell and back, it remained fully functional, powerful and accurate up until the day I lost it. The craftsmanship is solid, however on my new Tempest there were some machining blemishes at the breach that caused problems seating the pellets. The weight, balance and comfort are outstanding. I found trigger pull to be smooth and crisp (also adjustable). As far as accuracy, this gun is more accurate then the shooter could ever hope to be. It's almost entirely constructed of aluminum with a steel barrel and does require typical rust prevention maintenance. You must wipe down the barrel after use or you WILL see rust! Price seems to run between $150.00 and $200.00, shop around. Beeman offers some extended warranty options, but they are pricey ($50.00). I was very pleased with the prices at Pyramid (I have no affiliation with Pyramid, except as a consumer). I hope this was helpful?
