Bad Points

Often out of stock of certain phones.

General Comments

I have been buying phones from the Link in Swindon for the past 4 years (15 in all, thanks to careless teenage daughters and several thefts in South Africa on visits there). I have always found their service to be excellent. The staff are very knowledgeable about the products they are selling, and more than happy to answer any questions on how to make the best use of each model.

They will recommend various models, or tell you if they have had any major complaints about others. I have even been warned off certain makes (and subsequently discovered it was a valid warning). Furthermore, there is no pressure to sign up with a service provider other than the one you have requested. They will, when necessary, point out that the coverage by a provider may not be too good in a particular area, but that's it.

When we have had problems such as recently with our O2 X1 phones, they went beyond the call of duty to repair / finally replace the phones, bearing in mind it was the repair centre's bungling that caused the problems, and not the Link's.

They will price match and even throw in extra accessories without prompting.

Their insurance policy is one of the best around, as it even covers loss of mobiles in bars and clubs and on public transport. Not many other policies do that.

The staff are friendly, polite and efficient.

The only detrimental things I can think of is that they tend to run out of stock, especially on newly-released models, and their shop is very small and cramped.
