-Simpsons in 3d
-Great jokes and Simpson-merged worlds
-Noticible pieces of Simpsons Hit and Run copied out of GTA
-Becomes repetitive
Simpsons: Hit And Run - This game quite frankly is good if you have never gone on GTA before and if you are a great Simpsons fan.
I am a big Simpsons fan, but having seen GTA this game loses about half of its "funness" just because it tries to immitate GTA and fails, leaving a more calm and kid-friendly version of GTA in its wake.
The game's gameplay is an interesting one. You play as 5 characters. One after the other (in other words a level based game this is, where each character is a new level). This is a good method because it allows the player to continue playing untill the end of the story, unlike Simpsons road rage.
However, there are still great jokes left behind and a reasonable storyline so it's not such a bad game. After a while though, the jokes do get repeated and lose their funniness. Just a bit of a warning though and that is that the storyline is a little bit strange.
The tutorial though is good (and by-passable) and clever. It is Bart Simpson slagging off and taking the mick out of useless tutorials, while teaching you the tricks of the trade, which I thought was quite funny and certainly better than the traditional game tutorials.
"Simpsons Hit and Run" does have a multiplayer but you have to earn it through playing the game. This is certainly true in the PS2 version but I'm not sure about the PC. If this multiplayer thing on the PS2 for this game applies to the PC one too I warn you of a very long wait for the multiplayer.
So, to tie ends up. "Simpsons Hit and Run" is great for Simpsons' fans, but if you have seen and liked GTA before I wouldn't recommend this to you unless you're prepared for a medium-length game that is very likely to become dull quickly.
