Empire State. Ferry trip around Hudson River visiting all the main attractions by boat 1 hr. Great Dive bar Timeout Amsterdam Avenue roughly 78th St. Best location Upper West Side. Guggenheim Museum and sex Museum
Off streets of Times Sq at night, very dangerous.
Tourist areas, bars are quite pricey about $11 dollars a drink before tipping
An excellent place for accommodation is Upper West Side. From up town to down town it may cost around $25. Macy's is a bit of a disappointment but be sure to check out bloomingdale's which is located nearer funkier shops and sells a better quality of clothes etc. China Town does a lot of fake designer gear but beyond that is really great and you get a real sense of community around these parts.
