Built in zip. Built in viewer.
Can not copy or paste from the "command" edit.
Will not allow UNC file paths.
Lousy with flaws and bugs.
I bought PowerDesk Pro 5 to use with Litestep, but I am severely disappointed. It has some nice features, but the failure of the product to support basic functionality is a huge problem. The biggest problems are...
You cannot copy or paste from the Address line. (PowerDesk calls it "Command" instead of address).
Will not recognize UNC file paths, so you can't type \serversharepathfile.extension to go to a network share. Very bad.
In Explorer, you can right click anywhere in a folder and select "New | Folder" to create a new folder. In PowerDesk you can only create a new folder by scrolling down to the very bottom of the window and right clicking on an empty spot.
Sometimes when you create a new folder and browse into it, you don't get the little arrow... that allows you to travel back up to the parent. Sometimes it works, sometimes you have to refresh.
When you delete a folder or file, it doesn't disappear. You have to refresh the app to get them to disappear.
There are many other flaws in this application. I downloaded the trial version first, but didn't use it long enough before buying the pro version. In my opinion, PowerDesk is unusable. It is certainly not a satisfactory replacement for Explorer; nor is it for "Power-Users".
Save your money.
