General Comments

The Suzuki Swift GTI is the best car ive had so far. I've had mine super chipped, id recomend it as i have now got a 0-60 time of 7.5secs. I would say you should only go as big as 15" alloys to keep performance up and so you get no scrubbing. I can beat all my mates vtr's and beat my mates 106 gti out off the lights (he beats me on topend though but who needs that). So if you own a vtr or 106 BEWARE OF THE SWIFT GTI!

These cars are quick and I did race 1 till I got lost. I was leaving a cruise in the city centre and I was driving a 112bhp 1.6 16v Tigra at the time when I saw a gti swift heading off along side a rover metro gti. So I started to race them both. I passed the metro gti at about 90mph the swift gti was pushin hard up to 110mph I was side by side I couldn't believe the car was this quick. My tigra only had 112bhp but mine was very good at top end.120mph this car was still with me I couldn't believe it and he had 2 people in the car. 125mph I started to leave him, at 130 I could see his car never had the power at that speed that I had and he flashed me and turned off. As for the metro gti I wasn't impressed as I had one and know that it too is very fast, must have been a replica!? I really like the swift gti it's very quick pushed my heavy 1.6 Tigra to the limits. If it was just the driver inside the swift he would of kept up for longer. I don't think the engine was heavily modified and think that for a 1.3 16v with no turbo pushing 120mph with 3 adults with ease is amazing very good cars. Also goes to show that it's not always the size of the engine 1.3 that is probabley just 10-15mph slower top end than a 1.6 ecotec and can easily leave it 0-60 by about 1second or more and is cheaper to run and insure.
