General Comments

Went with our two boys aged eight and three to Summer Palace Hotel in Kardamena.
We went snorkelling in the sea and it was lovely to see all the fish under the water, the sea was very clear and the boys loved it.
Shingle beach was uncomfortable on the feet
Not a five star hotel. More like a 3 star all inclusive. Good entertainment for the kids and the kids club was good - our kids aged 3 and 8 made friends there and played with the new friends during the evening entertainment. Food not that great; The sausages were awful and bacon was served only once during the week we were there. The Italian Restaurant really is a complete waste of time; all it serves is pasta and basic pizzas. I would point out that there are some really dangerous areas around the complex that are not fenced off therefore there is just a drop from the cliff so don't lose sight of the little ones. The pools were clean and the kids really enjoyed playing in them. The drinks do seem to be watered down but my husband said the beer (Lowenbrough?) was very good. There is a rock pool by beach and it was fun watching the kids trying to catch fish with the net we bought in the local mini market. Did a trip to Kardemina and this was like Bendorm although the restaurants were good, and..........there was a MacDonald's! Sorry but we did get a burger there for the kids and it was better than here! Don't think we would go back but thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Our room number was 305 and this was steps away from one of the pools. Great weather and a lovely breeze. We paid £1100 with onthebeachholidays.com for four of us all inclusive. Would not have been too impressed if we had spent more than that. The room we stayed in was huge, cleaned every day and there was an adjoing room for the kids which they used. Deficiently not for people with walking difficulties. If you walk down the beach a bit further there are a couple of bars one has a pool in it and the kids loved it in there. Beer served in a glass that is freezing cold from the fridge! Kids loved spotting the lizards which are quite big. Would not go back (prefer Olu Deniz in Turkey) but did enjoy the holiday.
