Good Points

Ideally located on the eastern side of the village yet within easy walking distance of the beach, Tavernas and square. Linen/towel change every 3rd day and the small complex is kept very clean.

General Comments

Leonidas Apartments is probably the best accommodation I have had in several holidays to Greece; it is ideally located on the East side of the village and within easy walking distance of the beach, Taverna's and popular village square. The resort of Georgioupolis is small and tightly compact and no matter where you are an open field, space or hillside is within a short walking distance. The beaches are best described like this: Central, opposite the EDAM pool and restaurant, 2 beds and brolly at 5 EURO with 2 complimentary beers and free access with beds at the pool directly behind. The western most beach is reached by crossing the bridge, a beautiful idyllic bay with a lovely Taverna on site, this enhanced by clean toilets. River beach (East side) has several banks of beds each with their own Taverna, down side is there are no or at best very primitive toilet facilities! By way of summary I would have to say that we experienced the best value for money here, much cheaper than Santorini and Zante 2 years ago. It was always a delight to walk the short distance to the village square following a meal and sit in that lovely cane furniture with a drink and watch the world go by. This resort is favoured by Germans and Dutch who for some reason seem to mix much more easily than elsewhere..............or perhaps it was the Brits who mixed much more easily!!!
