General Comments
The Package included air conditioned room.
The Griego Mar switched this off during the periods of 2am to 10 pm. Torremolinos is currently having an average temperature of 35 degrees. The CNN weather reports were warning of the dangers of these extreme conditions.
I made an official complaint as the rooms were exceeding 30 degrees plus, they said it was management policy. I spent the entire holiday sleeping on the balcony. My wife is now under the doctor for a poisonous foot caused by mosquito bites. This practice of turning off the air conditioning is going to cause a tragedy especially for couples with young babies.
The lifts
We were on the ninth floor and the lefts broke down on several occasions each and every day.
The location
We were told that it was 600 yards down some steps to the sea.
You firstly have to walk three quarters of a mile to get to the steps. In a taxi it is 10 minutes at a cost of six euros.
The food
We had to pay for all drinks including water with our evening meal
All the vending machines offering water for sale were all broke and it seemed it has been like this for a number of weeks.
The room
We discovered we had a sea view after four days as I saw a glimpse between two horrendous buildings. The distance must have been around two miles.
It smelled of stale water and was basic.
