Good Points

- Nice car for the price
- Lots of standard bells & whistles
- Low fuel consumption (~0.6-0.7)
- cheap compatible extra parts (ask for parts of an Opel Vectra 1995 or Opel Omega 1994)
- Fairly quick car at 3-4k rpm

Bad Points

- Fairly unknown brand
- Not to good looking (IMHO)
- Not too good on low temperatures
- at -15C the door knob broke
- at -22C the speedometer started showing wrong speed (showed about twice as fast as the real speed)
- impossible to open the trunk from the outside as that fancy daewoo logo thingy freezes
- The electric system is not too stable.
- I'm having some troubles with the electric rear windows. Sometimes working, sometimes not.
- The central lock system doesn't always lock all doors.
- The button that is supposed to lock/unlock all doors is only able to lock them (but not always).
- When putting the car in reverse you must note that you're unable to see the trunk neither in the rear mirror or when looking over your shoulder, so it might take some learning to figure out where the car is when parking und su weiter. (-and so on)

General Comments

I've had this Daewoo Espero 2.0 family car for one year now and I'm quite satisfied with this car. It's not perfect, but it's a cheap car compared to similar cars with the same specs. I have had no starting problems with it, even at -25C and I have also had pretty good performance on snow and ice (but not nearly as good as my old Saab, so I have been stuck on some occasions where my old car would have droven without problems).

I had to replace the starting engine and an original Opel part costs under half the price of an original Daewoo part.
