Excellent quality text printing, easy scanning, stand alone photo-copying.
Tedious automated installation and updates procedure.
The HP PSC1350 is a good value multi-function device. Printing of text is almost to laser standard. Photo-copying of reasonable quality, enhanced by the ability to use when PC switched off. In addition the scan facility adds to the functionality of this device. Photo printing is also good.
The downside on my PC is the the multitude of files loaded in the 1 ghz+ installation and which took an absolute eternity to execute. Subsequently I downloaded the 15mb software update and have been suffering whilst it repeatedly attempts and succeeds to re-install the last 4% of the original configuration process on boot up. Unusual to say the least.
It would appear that large memory and fast processor speed would be an advantage as my PC takes much more time to boot up since install.
Despite my problems, which may be unique to my set-up, I would suggest that the amount of functions provided make this a worthwhile purchase in the long run.
