Supports a good variety of discs, CD, CDr, MP3, VCD, SVCD, DVD-r, and DVD+r.
Bad Points
Large footprint, MP3 navigation is poor, disc may skip if damaged or dirty.
General Comments
The Philips DVD-623 is a pretty good machine, but no better than most of the budget DVD players on the market. Plays a good variety of discs, but does not cope well with damaged or dirty discs (unlike my Pacific 1001). MP3 CD navigation is poor, no album tiles or song titles, just numbers, and navigation through these occasionally causes the machine to 'hang' and stop responding.
