Huge range of functions
phone mode functionality
crashes a lot
The Sony Ericsson P900 was my first smart phone, before I had a Nokia 6310. Got it on a bit of a whim, free upgrade from Orange business.
Broadly speaking I'd says it's a great device, but with a few significant flaws.
Most annoying was the lack of Bluetooth hands free protocol, Unlike previous SE phones, the P900 will only work with the SE Car kit, or with a basic headset protocol (with very limited functionality)
So if you have a fancy car with built in Bluetooth support you're in for a disappointment! This seems really stupid.
As a phone it's not as good as the Nokia - when the screen powers down you can't see anything, so very difficult to see missed calls etc. The screen visibility in sunlight is awful, but This is true of most colour LCDs - eventually they'll start using daylight visible displays, but that will ad a couple of dollars to the build cost.
Battery life is a couple of days at best - less if you use other functions. Bluetooth seems to reduce life considerable.
Random crashes can be an issue - I've stopped using it as an alarm clock!
Contacted SE tech support re Bluetooth and a couple of other issues - absolutely useless.
