I don't think I could fault the Tomy Walkabout Monitor. It has now seen me through my second child and it has never let me down. Not once have I had any interference and it picks up the slightest sound. The volume goes from 0-10 but we have had it on 6 at the highest and that is with the receiver outside my daughters room. When I bought the monitor it was one of the averagely priced brands and has been worth every penny.
