General Comments

The Nissan Terrano II 3.0di Turbo SVE 4x4 can pull 3 tonnes trailed weight from standstill at TICKOVER! Eat my shorts Disco diesels! I have used 90's, rangeys, discos', citroens; nothing in its class or many dearer cars can touch it for slow or motorway pulling .
I love a bit of off road too . I have pulled a freelander and a fronterra out of mud and ruts . Rock crawling is only bettered by the landy 90 / 110 . X5 owners don't count ..they think off road means parking on the kerb !
It was cheaper than a landy and came with leather, (wipes clean more easily than normal material) a/c, 6*cd changer, met paint, alloys, 3 yr warranty and a better engine.
However every silver lining has a cloud !!
Non mechanical build quality is suspect:
11 months cd changer replaced (2 visits), 18 months radio replaced (2 visits ) 7 visits to sort airbag warning light inc. @4th time bag replaced, on 7th all contacts SOLDERED.
some interior trim loose, one leather seat cover replaced (2 visits)BUT the dealer always supplied a free micra or clio.
When I needed to tow and they had nothing suitable they refunded me the cost of my hiring a fronterra for the day. I won't buy another one because when the warranty runs out on this one I will be raising it, fitting a winch, widenning the track, spotties etc....

Some fair points raised.. Mines a 2004 model and Nowt has fallen off it yet apart from the rear door seal. Servicing is really cheep compared to my last car that was a Volvo V70. Its a shame it doesn't have a cruise control but I had wonderful fun pulling Audi 4x4 drivers off the top of Saddleworth snowdrifts last winter. Going to change to ATs for this winter.

The only problem with towing is that you forget you are doing it. Taken the caravan to Scotland twice, Cornwall once and the Vendee once with zero dramas apart from the cost of coffee at the services.

Great fun car that accelerates well and inspires confidence...
