Very quiet, self-contained resort with excellent service and amenities. Sunset over the West Bank mountains (Valley of Kings, etc) is unforgettable.
Hotel is a few kilometres north of Luxor. Pool area is small and very busy in afternoons. There were two power cuts during our stay and guests said this was not unusual (a generator kicks in after 10-15 minutes)
The Hilton Hotel rooms are relatively small for this class and the 'nile view' balconies on most rooms are tiny (standing room only). Hotel services (laundry, excursion booking, etc.) are excellent and good value for money. Food was particularly good with choice of buffet, Chinese, Italian and Arabic restaurants. Terrace behind reception excellent for watching the spectacular sunsets. A perfect relaxing idyll away from the hustle of the town centre.
