General Comments

I am delighted with the Sony DCR DVD 101E camera. It is very easy so set up and use. So far I have recorded video and watched it on TV. The results are excellent. However, why oh why, do Sony only include a DVD/R in the box. This is an uneditable permanent recording. Who wants that for their first attempt? Then to discover that DVD RWs are unobtainable (all the stores are fed up). I have now ordered one from Sony on line but the delivery charge is grotesque (£7.88 delivery for one disc) Will keep you posted!!

Hi there, so the only pitful you found with this handicam was that sony only supplied a mini dvd-r rather than a mini dvd-rw and the fact that the media was hard to obtain in uk aye? cheers.

    Hi there!
Sony is not so good at service...I have asked them to help me why I can't record from my old VHS-C videos into a DVD via my DCR-DVD101E and received no answer yet...Have you tried with your camera? It works the other way, from the disk to the VHS.
Please, if anybody knows how, tell me!
    Thanks!

Hello Christos. I thought the rather arrogant comment from Sony said it all. No wonder the profits are down! Sorry, I haven't tried to convert VHS to DVD using the camcorder - I have a VHS/DVD player/recorder which does just that.
