General Comments
I just bought the Beeman GS950 .22 at Wal-Mart!!! of all places for US $209 + tax. This gun was a "combo" set up from the factory with a Beeman 3x9-32 scope pre-sighted in at 30 meters. Accuracy out of the box was good, adjusted scope slightly and has put 3 pellets right on top of one another at 30ft, on a windy day. Accuracy seems very good for a brand new Springer; I have been told it takes approx. 50-100 pellets for the gun to settle in. I have gotten 2 finches so far with it, both at about 15yds!! As I have scared off most of the other birds around with my Benjamin blue streak, maybe a bit of a break is in order. I can hardly wait for the gun to settle in so I can try some true long distance shots. If you are looking for an adult air gun, with good power great looks, very high quality of build, look no further than this one, you just can't beat Beeman quality. My wife, who is smallish likes this gun much better than my blue streak, she finds it easier to cock, and finds the balance is much better for her. Look out!! she is deadly with it so far, and will probably only get better with time

on 28th Jul 2004hey there intewedem, I got my gun at a local wal-mart in Milpitas, Ca. Hope this info helps you out. Oh! one other thing, the wal-mart where I bought my gun only carried .177 caliber pellets, go figure!!!

on 29th Jul 2004Damn, I just found out by calling Walmart in Milpitas and also Beeman. That rifle is Model 1774, which is the GH950 with a Walmart model, and the guy said it is $180.94 plus tax with a 4x32 scope. Beeman tells me that the rifle is only packaged for Walmart and is only sold in California, and Walmart cannot ship it out of state. Not knowing anyone in California makes it impossible to buy it. I just placed an order with Air Guns of Arizona for it at $239.00 plus $20.00 shipping. I saw it on Compasseco.com for $220 plus $20 shipping, but Air Guns tells me that they get the gun, unpack it, test fire it, and repack it in double box. If they really do it, it's worth the $19.....but I'd love to have been able to get it for $181 at Walmart!

on 12th Aug 2004HEY INTEWEDM. First off, get your gun yet??? Wal-Mart actually stocks 2 different GS950 models. The one made for them has a different stock, no checkering at the front, only at "pistol grip" area. Also the shape of the stock is different at the barrel. The one I got for $209.00 at Wal-Mart is an "actual" Beeman, built by/for Beeman only. I saw them both side by side at Wal-Mart in Fairfield, Ca this week. They are definitely different. If you ordered yours on-line from the place you were talking about it probably will be the "higher" end model. Good luck and let us know how you like the new gun.

on 21st Aug 2004I was on vacation and got the rifle a few days after I returned. It came with a tin of Beeman Silver Bear pellets. The pellets are so much better than the Chinese "junk" I was using. The first shot was at a bird on my suet feeder, 10 meters away, and the bird is now in "bird heaven". I couldn't be more pleased. I am not missing any varmints that are raiding our bird feeders. The rifle is quieter too, so I won't be tipping of the neighbours that I am shooting. The only "problem" is that it's pretty long and it's hard to sneak it around my blind without the varmints seeing it. Slow and easy does it though.

Could you advise the location of the Wal-mart that you got it at? My area Wal-marts don't carry it, and don't want to do the research to find out what stores do.
