Excellent handling and convincing acceleration. Good levels of equipment and superb build quality.

Bad Points

None to speak of except the usual problem of "badge snobbery".

General Comments

The Seat Leon 1.8 SE Family Car is one of those vehicles that demonstrates quality quite beyond its image. It could be described as a "well kept secret". Even though this model lacks the turbo it still begs to be driven enthusiastically and rewards the keen driver with crisp handling, quick steering and some very satisfying sounds from under the bonnet. In addition to this, build quality is first rate and equipment generous (e.g. climate control is standard). The only reason to choose a BMW Compact or Audi A3 in preference to this vehicle is a desire to impress your neighbours with the badge on your bonnet!
