Well made, fast start up and focus. Excellent battery life, stuuning lens and image quality, bright LCD even in sunlight, bright evf.
some buttons can be touched in error, the lcd can only be moved up or down (no swivel)
I purchased the C8080 as a second camera. I chose this camera over the latest digital SLRs, as it offers a good all in one package for a lot less than the price of an SLR system. The camera feels moulded to my hand, all functions are close to hand and the menu system is simple and well thought out. Start up is the fastest I have ever seen, you can turn on and be ready to shoot in under a second! It really is a stunning camera, it can be used as point and shoot or allows you to get creative with the various settings. The best thing about the C8080 though is the lens, apparently it's based on the "E" system lenses used on the top of the range Olympus E1 and you can tell. I have used Canon manual and digital equipment in the past including "l" series lenses and the C8080 lens is on a par to them, serioulsy. It is a stunning piece of technolgy.
