General Comments

The Nikon Coolpix 2100 is easy to use - you don't need the manual, it all makes sense. Best menu features are continuous pictures e.g. for sports BUT make sure you buy a decent qaulity Flashcard. You need at least 12x for this. The lower the x the slower the picture taking is. The worst timelag is indoors with the flash. Sometimes it's up to 2 seconds between pressing the button and capturing the image.
If you want to take good "holiday" pics it's great. I use an HP photojet printer and get pictures of better quality than from the shops.

The main bonus of this camera is the point and shoot element and because you can delete anything that's rubbish just keep taking pictures.

It's very light and very compact. I couldn't believe how small it was when it arrived and was very dubious and my friends still think it looks too small for the job, until they see the pics. Get the NiMH rechargeable batteries - it takes two only - and you don't need to worry. They last for 50-100 shots without flash.

As for the quality - I take brochure pics (1/8 page size) for a Tour Operator and the quality is fine.

In my view the best value for money and easiest to use digital out there. Forget 3million plus megapixels you don't need it unless you want a replacement for your old SLR. If you want this then you need to spend £500 plus on a decent digital 35mm!
