Good Points

Hotel was very clean, good sun terraces, with plenty of free sun beds and parasols.


Bad Points

Very large noisy hotel, food was very bad, burgers, chicken etc not cooked through properly, and having to queue to get into dining room every mealtime.


General Comments

The Aquamarina looks impressive when you first arrive which it is, it is very clean, and standards are very high there. That is were it all ends, the food is very much below standard and the dining room is not large enough to cater for the 601 bedrooms, we had to queue for every meal, it was worse at weekends because they had three conference rooms below the hotel which where used for Spanish weddings, bedlam! when you finished a course the plates etc were never cleared away they just piled higher on the table, especially when there are seven of you, when you finally reached the dining room from the queue, you had to find an empty table and wait until one of the staff could reset it for you. The children's entertainment consisted of a half hour tape of disco music,(the same tape every night), which ended with them running in and out of the sun beds like a train with one or more falling over and crying for the rest of the night? all in all a wasted two weeks? The resort of Santa Susanna is very nice but if you want a good beach the Costa Brava is not the place to come, the sand is very gritty and cuts your feet to pieces, there is also a very dangerous shelf straight into the water, the water is very deep, even as you enter the water, it is very dangerous for children, and poor swimmers? Our tour rep was a waste of space too, we booked our holiday with Skytours, and needless to say we won't be booking with them again?
