Large, excellent spec, reliable, excellent tow car.
Bit juicy round town. Blinds to the rear passenger rows a bit flimsy and the kids broke one within a week, but Main Dealer replaced on warranty. 2.2 Hdi does not come in automatic.
I had a Citroen Synergie, and when we changed our caravan to a larger one, we needed a car with a bit more "oomph". Citroen C8 Exclusive 2.2 Hdi here I come! It is beautiful to look at, easy to drive, manoeuvre and park. All singing, all dancing. No need to switch on and off the lights - the cars sensors do this for you. No need to switch on and off the windscreen-wipers - the car does this too. Two fully electronic keys which remember the seat settings, so no more fiddling with the seat after hubby has driven my car. Darkened windows all round to the rear seats mean the kids have privacy and can watch their portable DVD player without the sun washing out the picture. Electric back doors and an opener/closer on the key fob means you can open and close the doors for the kids. Heated front seats, beautiful suede-look and feel seat coverings and trim, and cruise control both add to the comfort factor. Air-conditioning with individual settings to passenger and driver, and the middle row can also adjust their climate control as well!
Had a great deal on it too, as I bought it in March when Citroen were doing their no VAT deal, so I got my car with about 5K off the RRP.
The car also comes with computer. This can tell you how many miles since you filled the tank, how many miles till you need to fill the tank, average fuel consumption, present fuel consumption.....
A CD changer would be nice but this can be fitted as an extra. Factory fitted sun roofs would also be good, but, again, can be fitted as an extra, but not a fully sliding one to the middle row, which we would have found useful.
An excellent tow car the fuel consumption does not really drop too far, and the car is more than happy with our 615 metre caravan on the back.
With the 2.2 Hdi engine, the performance is great too - good to have a big family car with some get up and go.
