Good Points

This review is of my experience with Daisy Outdoor Products when ordering my new model 953, which just began distribution July 2004.

Bad Points

Customer Service employees don't know the product and are not as helpful as they would be if they knew the products & operation better.

General Comments

Knowing that Daisy was coming out with a new model air rifle ( Daisy PowerLine TargetPro 953)in July 2004; about 3 weeks ago I phoned the customer service department to order the new rifle, and requesting to know the amount I needed to send them including shipping, tax, etc., in order to purchase the rifle.

I was informed of the amount and I sent them a money order for that amount. I then left on vacation. While I was gone, customer service phoned and left a message that they could not send me the rifle and that I should buy it at Walmart. The next day they phoned back saying that they were going to send me the rifle after all, which they did.

Upon receiving the rifle; I called them requesting the price of four of the 5 shot clips and one of the 1 shot clips, to have as replacements, since they are made of rubber and will obviously wear out, to say nothing of the convenience of having spare clips. I was put on hold for 10 minutes, at which time I hung up and called back requesting the same information. I was once again put on hold and finally the representative came back on the line and informed me that they didn't know the price of the clips and wouldn't know for a week or so. I find it ridiculous that these people, who are customer service reps, don't know their products, prices, and general company operation any better than that!
