General Comments

When I was buying a new car, I searched the internet for the best deal available. Sainsbury Bank offered one of the best rates available. The loan was agreed over the phone and arrangements made for a courier to deliver the cheque at my convenience. I was allowed a set time to examine the details and to accept the terms of the loan. A payment holiday was offered, deferring the start of the repayments for a three month period. There was a small payment to receive this service which supported my financial plans for the purchase of the car. Highly recommended.

    I applied for a loan in January and was approved straight away. They pressured me in to having a courier deliver the forms to me to process the loan quicker (and charge me £50) and I did agree at the time but after speeking to my husband I phoned them to cancel as getting the loan was no great urgency. I then recieved the loan with no problems and within 2 days! When my first direct debit money came out of my bank I noticed they had charged me the £50 anyway.! This was 3 and a half weeks ago and I have phoned them several times to get my money back and so far have had no luck! Beware of force selling and Sainsburys bank.....................
