Consistant in size and weight. Very accurate over long range. Very few damaged pellets per tin.
whistling sound?
Bisley Superfield:
I been experimenting with many different pellets in my Weirhauch over the years and before I start my review I must say that it is AMAZING how differently pellets preform in air guns. It really is worth trying a few different brands in your airgun before deciding on what works best for you. I do this by firing at a two pence sized circle mounted on a piece of inch thick plywood (half inch for non FAC guns)at 40 yrds. I then fire 8 rounds with each type of pellet and see how tight they group up. The reason for mounting on plywood is so that penetration can be observed. A superfield is capable of slicing through a piece of half inch ply at 40 yrds with a standard 12fpe airgun. My weirhauch shoots these with great consistancy, producing hardly any 'fliers' (where a pellet lands outside the main group for no particular reason) From a field target sitting stance I can easily get my group size at forty yrds to 3/4 of an inch, easily small enough for rabbitsother airgun quarry. From a bench rest sub half inch groups at 45 yrds are easily obtainable.
The penetration is also impressive, my FAC gun will jam a superfield right a piece of inch ply without difficulty. In the field, these pellets preform faultlessly. I use a bi-pod with my gun for a good, steady hold and I have dropped rabbits out to 60yrds without difficulty. I have not noticed the whistling noise mentioned by 'thumper' but I have never stood downrange of the superfield. I will try this afternoon...
In conclusion, superfield are well worth a go in all quality air rifles. They are far more accurate in my gun than accupell or many of the other leading brands, but then all guns preform differently.
Happy shooting!
