Good Points

Lively, useful vocabulary. The antithesis of "la plume de ma tante" type of structures used. Lots of self-testing including answers. A great vocabulary-building concept uses English cognates to create a vocabulary of 1000s of items.

Bad Points

None particularly bad. It is an intense book that is best used with consistency and with a like-minded partner.

General Comments

Margarita Madrigal, Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish - 1. Lightening Vocab building through cognates
2. Ease into verbs via attacking pret rito (simple past) first. It is more useful than the "baby talk" present tense and has fewer irregularities.
3. Vocab & structures chosen are useful, practical, necessary items.
4. Self-testing measures progress as well as motivate.
5. A classic!!!
