Good Points

The monitor produces sharp text and graphics.

Bad Points

Darker bluish patch at bottom of screen, especially bottom left. Distorted geometry which was unfixable. The screen image 'fluctuates' in size especially when a window is opened.

General Comments

I was after a new 17" monitor when my Sony E220 prematurely gave up the ghost and went all pale on me. After recommendations from a few stores I decided to give the LG F700B a shot. Easy to set up etc. but I instantly spotted a handful of problems. A horrid dark bluish area at the bottom of the screen which no amount of moving of cables or possible interference sources could fix; menu bar at the top of my screen was so distorted I thought the font on my Mac's preferences had been changed; the screen size was very unstable - opening a window caused the whole screen display to expand by about 5mm in every direction and then shrink again when the window was closed. I put it straight back in its box and whizzed down to the shop for a refund (luckily they agreed!). Might be a quality control issue, maybe not, but I wouldn't even consider trying another one. Oh yeah - at least the image was sharp....
