Good Points

Easy to use for beginners.
Satifactory results can be achieved quickly.

Bad Points

Thin documentation which uses unexplained terms.
No creative options such as applying different transitions to individual slides.

General Comments

The DVD PictureShow Digital Camera Suite 2.0 Photo Editing software is quite easy to use at a basic level. It loads quickly and easily on the computer. It is easy to produce a basic slideshow with some effects very quickly.

Poor documentation evidences the fact that there is very little creative functionality in the program compared with, say, Magix Photos on CD & DVD Deluxe 2.0. You cannot apply different transitions to individual slides, neither can you alter the idividual display times of each slide. The music transitions are clumsy and clunky. The documentation uses terms which the novice might not understand and expects these beginners to know the difference between PAL and NTSC, and VCD, SVCD, and DVD.

I tried to play a DCD prepared on on Photoshow 2 on my year old DVD player attached to a tv without success. The DVD player simply reported 'Err' and refused to play the disk. However the disk did play (though not on AutoPlay) on both my desktop and laptop.
