Good Points

Clean though basic, it is in the middle range price for guest houses. The girls are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and freshly prepared and nothing is too much trouble.


Bad Points

A little way out of the city but only a 50baht tuk-tuk ride and away from the notorious Koh San Road.


General Comments

Bangkok, Shanti Lodge Guest House - I am a 50 year old grandmother who stayed here with my son and his girlfriend while backpacking in 2002. We were all happy with the place and although a little way out of the centre we did not find this to be a problem as there was always a tuk tuk around. The staff were friendly and helpful and arranged trips and buses for us and I would definitely stay there again.
