General Comments

I recently bought a Sendo M550 because my Philips Savvy was like the mobile phone in the advert that hides under a brown paper bag. The M550 is small with colour screen, games and lots of gizmos. Great for posing but not a patch on the Savvy for just making calls. The Savvy will pick up the network where the M550 wont. It's easy to operate with large buttons and a screen you can read in direct sunlight.

True it has no street cred but it's as tough as the 1/4 house brick it resembles - ideal for my hobby of mountain biking over rough terrain. I've dropped it many times, enough to make the back fly off and the battery to come out, and occasionally the aerial to come off. Just pick up the bits, bung them back together, and it works. Bet the M550 wouldn't after a spill.

So I'm keeping my Savvy for as long as it works. No bells and whistles, but it's a gem if all you want to do is make calls and not have to treat your mobile with kid gloves.
