Good Points

Easy, all purpose. No major problems, generally happy with it. It's our first digital camera.

Bad Points

On board battery won't last during main battery charging cycle.
Doesn't focus well indoors under lights.

General Comments

We've had a Nikon Coolpix 775 digital camera for nearly 8 months now and it's been really useful (we've almost taken 1000 shots!). We're generally happy with the camera, so while this review has bad points, read them in this context.
Our main gripes with it are
(a) the battery must be removed to recharge it;
(b) while the camera has an onboard battery, that battery won't last during the charging cycle for the main battery - so we need to reset all the features each time we recharge. This only takes a short time, but it's annoying, and if you forget about it you get the wrong date on your pics.
(c) it doesn't focus all that well under electric lights indoor at night. Lots of photos we've taken under a 75W bulb are not in focus.
(d) the windows 98 drivers are a pain - and it doesn't work out of the box, u need to download them from the nikon site. However it works perfectly with Linux (RH7.3) without loading any drivers for it - go figure.
