Always on 24/7, no disconnections ever since i subscribed to 512k services (connects at 576kbps??)
isp is freeserve.
Bad Points
The modem seems to draw too much power from computer. I can hardly play n e games now on the internet. Does anybody know is there n e way to fix this? Will an externally powered usb hub solve this issue?

I have found the Alcatel Speed Touch USB modem good overall. It's always on 24/7, no disconnections ever since i subscribed to 512k services (connects at 576kbps??)

Since I formatted and changed to XP it disconnects me at random times, sometimes 1 hour other 10 hours. I downloaded the l8est driver and took everything out but while trying to install it says access denied and won't let me go any further so basically i am stuck with it :) help ty
