Good Points

Hotel is clean and nice enough, albeit quite basic

Bad Points

Location - the walk down a cat-infested alley to the beach is quite off-putting and the hotel itself is off the beaten track.
Food - disgusting !
Entertainment - okay if you like Bingo or have kids.

General Comments

Hammamet Le Saphir / Hammamet Village - Have been to many brilliant hotels in Hammamet for the last 10 years - unfortunately, this was not one of them.

Tunisia is brilliant - just don't go to Le Saphir.

There's no pleasing some folks, all hotels have kids entertainment early evening followed by bingo, if it's not your thing go later on when the more grown up stuff is on or go to the quite little bar in the hotel. If you don't like kids or family entertainment maybe you should stay home.

As I mentioned earlier in my review, I have been to many hotels in Tunisia and this review was posted to inform others of what was available - in my opinion, this hotel is inferior to all of them. The sort of comment which you posted is irrelevant and unhelpful to people trying to decide on this accommodation. Perhaps if you think it's such a great hotel you should place your own review and let people make up their own minds whether this is the type of holiday for them. (Incidentally, I have NEVER seen bingo played in any other hotel in Tunisia)

I have visited Tunisia many times and i have visited the hotel in question many times aswel. I think that you should visit hotels in Tunisia around 9 in the evening because they all play bingo. At the end of the day, the brouchure states that the hotel is family orientated so you can't expect a club 18-30 holiday. The hotel is good for families so before you go on holiday next time go somewhere less original like spain or somewhere and read up on the hotel 1st, then maybe you wont choose that type of hotel.

As stated in my original review, I have been going to Tunisia for 10 yrs and never experienced this, and since I'll never see 40 again, I don't think 18-30 is a good option. Most Tunisian hotels are very family orientated and this is not a problem for us, but obviously, this hotel is just inferior to all the others we have stayed in previously.
