The picture quality gained from Pixel Plus is fantastic compared to other televisions. Features are many and TV looks good, on or off.
Bad Points
Unreliable if you fancy turning it on.
General Comments
I purchased this Philips 29PT9420 PixelPlus television in July of 2003. It first broke down around the christmas period producing a blue haze down the left hand side of the screen. The television was returned to retailer where they installed a new tube. Then in March 2004 the newly installed tube developed the same fault - blue haze down the left hand side of the screen. I have now been informed that the parts are no longer available for this television so I suggest you steer away from buying any Pixel Plus television from Philips.

That is a horrible story. I have been told about Philips and their 'parts no longer in stock' diatribe before. I have just today been told that they DO have a stock of every part of a plasma for at least 7 years. I was just about to purchase a Philips, but I have second thoughts now.
