Recoil, and loading gate bend RWS wadcutter pellet skirts.
General Comments
A club member allow me to shoot his Aeron B99. This a .22 cal model. He uses it mainly in silhouette matches. The larger diameter pellet helps in slihouette matches. He took all the weights off the front of the pistol. Without the weight, the gun is a little on the light side compare to an expensive German 10-meter pistol. Since I am not a big or strong person, the weight of the pistol is almost ideal. The pistol points well. When I bring the pistol up, the front and rear sights are align if my grip is correct. The trigger is match quality like those in the expensive German pistols. The pistol is powerful, and that is good for a silhouette pistol; however the recoil is significant. The nice thing is that the recoil is straight back into your hand, and doesn't cause the muzzle to jump. I never felt a gun recoil in this manner before.
Bad points - The loading port is unique. It flips up and you insert a pellet through a hole. The RWS wadcutter pellet I feed in, cannot go through all the way, so when I close the loading gate, a bit of the pellet skirt was bent. I didn't try it with any other pellets so I don't know if this is a problem for all the pellets
