General Comments

The modern good looks of the Harman Kardon DVD 22 dvd player hide a fully specified, top quality DVD player. The visually pleasing silver and black casing highlights the attempt by HK to move away from the Black box image of previous offerings. However, we buy a DVD player for its output and the DVD22 does not disappoint. Visual output of Scart, component and S video give the user the best variety of connectivity options. Run using S video through a projector images are sharp with no colour interference.
Audio options are equally as wide with RCA, Optical and Coax digital options available. Channel definition through a 5.1 AV receiver prooves to be clear and distinct.
As a CD player the HK performs very well and is only beaten by high end CD players. Here the sound quality is excellent, but stereo seperation appears to be less distinct.
