The car looks menacing and draws a lot of attention from passers by. The drive is okay, but the 2.2i model I own doesn't offer much excitement when you want to put your foot down.
Bad Points
I have not had any problems with the engine, but the rattles and shakes from the window and the roof housing when the roof is up is unbearable.
General Comments
However nice the BMW Z4 looks, or how good the engine is, these all become insignificant when you have to listen to all the rattles and vibrations. The whole experience of driving this car is not enjoyable and I wish I had never bought it. My local BMW dealer is arrogant and rude and it is the last BMW I will buy.

I also have a BMW Z4 3 litre Sports Car and although the engine perfomance is great I am plagued with rattles and rear noise problems which after 15 months have still not fully been cured - the dealership was also pretty poor - great at selling but crap at customer services. I will not be buying another BMW - 15 months and it still rattles!

Sounds like you have a bad dealer. Mine does not rattle at all. Contact BMW directly and force them to have another dealer correct the problem. I have had nothing but wonderful dealings with the dealer that is in my area. sorry for the bad expierence.
