Overall Rating
- Value for money

- Handling

- Accuracy

Full-size, centerfire rifle feel and heft.
Nice, even (albeit dull) wood finish, with fitted butt-pad.
Good notch-and-post sight picture.
Bad Points
Trigger pull better on many cheap .22s.
Somewhat splotchy blueing when seen in direct light.
Measured velocity 25% less than marketed.
General Comments
This is my FIRST springer. I looked real hard at a $300 Webley Stingray, but I was unsure. So, I bought this simply to 'try' the genre and make SURE I liked the airgun 'thing'. I do. I was lucky enough to get this one delivered to my door at just one-third of the Brit-blaster's tariff.
Besides the gun's break-in, there's also MY break-in in working the 33lb. effort break-barrel. It does seem to be a fast learning curve, however. I actually like the two-stage trigger so universally decried by most of us Westerners. The first stage is a rather heavy guesstimate of 7-8lbs., but I'd say it breaks at somewhere nearer to 3-4lbs. I'm hoping that both will ease up after those first few tins.
This gun was billed as a 825fps performer. A note with the manual said to expect up to 10% greater velocity until it breaks in. I availed myself of a friend's chrono with just 125 shots through the gun. It clocks an average of 600 fps! That was also the first time I'd shot it to 25yds. I was quite pleased to see it capable of 1.5" at the seated position. With a scope, this gun may really be able to impress! At my 8yd. target in the back-yard, it prints boring one-hole groups inside .5" bullseyes.
The fit and finish are light years ahead of the Chinese guns sold at higher prices here in the US. I would probably have been happy even at twice the price, so I'm more than pleased with it at the deal I got.
